Department of the Regional Development

• coordination and rendering methodological assistance to regional IAU representatives in all spheres of activity on counteraction to terrorism and extremism
• increasing the number of the IAU representatives in the country and abroad, enlarging the number of NGO members
• realization of interconnections between the IAU regional representatives and NGO partners

Department of Information and Analyses Technologies

• analyses and monitoring of world tendencies of terrorism threats emergence, search of means to surmount terrorism and extremism;
• research of terrorism and extremism as manifestations of complicated behaviour of critically self-organized systems (society, state, system of states), modeling, prognosis, development of mechanisms of their regulation;
• monitoring of conflict situations in regions, recommendations on problem-solving;
• carrying out analytical materials for informational, scientific and education publications on counteraction to terrorism;
• working out and implementation of information technologies;
• broadening and introduction of the IAU Internet site;
• supplying information for electronic information space

Department of International Cooperation

• practical and methodological assistance to the IAU representatives abroad;
• ensuring the IAU  ties and active cooperation  with NGOs – the CE activities participants, diplomatic missions, representatives of international organizations (UNO, EC, CE, OSCE, NATO), charity funds etc.

Department of Innovation and Management

• technical and pecuniary supply of international forums, round tables, conferences, actions
• elaboration and realization of projects and novelties to provide for financial support to NGO

Department of Scientific, Methodological, Educational Programmes and Cultural Events

• working out and introduction of educational programmes on security in the field of security management and personnel training;
• holding cultural and instructive antiterrorism actions

Department of Cooperation with Governmental Bodies and NGOs

• initiating, establishing, participation in public consultative councils at governmental bodies;
• favouring legislative and law-making activity
• cooperation with partner NGOs
